Bike trails for young kids? Yes, at Camp N in Nuvali, Laguna.
Trail Riding with the Kids! Fun Times At Camp N in Nuvali
Bonding with the young ones while having a great time under the sun, doing out door activities and other physical stuff (which requires a harness) are some people’s idea of fun. If you’re not that kind of person, well…
Have you been to Camp N?
We gathered the troop and headed to Camp N in Nuvali for some good times under the sun. We were invited to attend the 2018 version of the dirt weekend. Headed out to Laguna, hit the SLEX and exited towards Nuvali. (really depends on the time and day on where to exit, just ask your map location app which is the best way to go)
It was a rather short car ride from Quezon City. We got there even before the kids asked, “Are we there yet?”
We arrived at Camp N and had our gracious host, Mon tell us about the area, the local scoop, terrain and facts about the land.
The Bike Trail
We hit the trails. It was a fun course designed for the first timers and it was mild enough to prepare the riders of what/ how is it in the real jungle. There are lots of different situations which would require some skill that you can unlock in this course.
My boys have never ridden a bike trail before. All they ride are the paved roads of our village and their orientation of trails is somewhere you can hike. We have trekked in the trails of San Mateo but to actually ride ’em? Not yet. So Camp N let the boys use the Specialized bikes built for their age so they can experience what trail riding is all about. They got geared up with proper fitting helmets and we were off.
The first real obstacle encountered is the sudden rise in the trail. With the proper velocity, the experienced rider can take on this, but for first timers, this can quite be a nuisance if not attacked properly. The gear must be correct plus the balance of the rider should be more forward because the weight distribution should be on the front tire. Pass this and unlock the “sudden-ascent-on-the-trail” skill.
Other skills to be unlocked are all in Camp N. After going around the trail, the boys had their “semplangs” (bike fall) but they were all good. The leaves, the dirt made it all better because they had no wounds due to the soft fall on nature. No concrete to scratch their skin, so there were no ouchies for the children.
The track gave the new riders a preview of the mountain trail and it provided a good work out for the experienced ones. It is a nice breather from the usual trails and it is the best place to bond with your partner (whom you are coaxing to join you to ride trails) or kids. Want a wholesome fun activity with friends? Try trail riding! It is so much FUN!
Camp N Fun Overload
The bike trail is just one of the attractions of Camp N. They have aerial walks, zip lines, wall climbing, obstacle courses, archery, and other fun activities.
It is the perfect place to enjoy nature and go glamping (glamorized camping). Our gang tried the short zipline and long zipline. The zipline here is unique because you are not suspended with a cable, rather you are transported using rails that would drop you down like a rag doll.
There are so much activities in Camp N that your whole weekend can be spent there. Team building among office mates, group mates and families can be held there, just contact their friendly staff and they are more than willing to help you out. The staff are hospitable to guests and they really know how to treat visitors.
Here is the map going to Camp N. It is really easy to go there, just type in Camp N/ Nuvali/ Laguna in Waze or Google maps, then let the robotic voice guide you going there. Enjoy your journey!
If you’re not into all that, you’ll still enjoy Camp N because you can grab a book and read under a tree while gently swaying your hammock… after biking!
