I broke my saddle.

I broke my Selle Italia Gel Flow Saddle yesterday in the All terra Blue zone trail. 15 minutes into the trail, I hit a bump and heard it crack. Yes, the saddle was comfortable, it had a nice ergonomic design and all, but it couldn’t stand the rigors of mountain biking.
One of the rails cracked and I checked it out to see the actual rail break in two. I picked up the metal part and brought it home.
I still managed to bike home occasionally sitting on the beat up saddle.
I tried to disassemble it and maybe put in a different rail but failed to do so. Maybe the experts can customize this expensive butt cushion-er “handmade in Italy”. Goes to show that expensive does not mean bombproof.
