Easy Skanking in U.P. Diliman

Took the JD Cruzer out for a spin to enjoy the lazy Sunday afternoon with family and friends. We packed our picnic basket and went to University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City to enjoy the last few cool afternoons before summer breaks. We climbed a tree, played dodgeball, and had the cruiser do some bunny hops.

It’s always fun to go biking around UP Diliman for it is an easy ride, with one direction going uphill and the other direction going downhill. Lots of different riders doing their own thing: the people from Raven Cycles playing bike polo in the AS parking lot, the witty veterans hanging out after the Circle ride, and the newbies who are trying to be healthy. Mountain bikers can also check out the UP loop wherein you get to experience some fast trail action between the buildings and around the footpaths. Four-cross riders can have their fill of jumps in the University Avenue main road. Lots of thrills inside UP Diliman for bikers, all you need to do is be there.

I am new in MTB and the trails I tried before are down South. The problem is I transferred to QC just recently and I want to try out the trails here in the North. Where do people usually start to try the UP MTB trail? I do not like roads. Thank you!

Try going around the backyard of the AS parking lot. You can hook up with the local Bike palo players and they can show you the “way”.
