Earth Friendly Bicycle

Meet Bryan of Bambike. He is the man with a plan! He makes bike frames out of Bamboo. But doesn’t bamboo crack and become brittle? That is our first inquiry so he explains that the bamboos used in his bike frames are aged and treated so they get the the strength of steel with the lightness of carbon. All natural, sustainable bicycles for the future generation.

The great thing about Bambike is that the people making the bikes are from Victoria, Tarlac Gawad Kalinga, an organization working to end poverty. Now isn’t that a great cause?

Now you can cruise down the beach without worrying about the salt in your frame ‘coz this baby won’t rust!

I remember Bryan during a Firefly event years ago wearing a Captain Planet costume while marketing his Bambike. Maybe he really is Captain Planet. Salute to you, Sir!
