The course is an intermediate trail, perfect for those MT bikers who haven’t gone up the mountain, but is sick and tired of just riding their mountain bike around the village or UP Diliman. The Heroes Trail would literally “break in” those virgin legs and lungs for the trail shall simulate the real riding conditions up in the mountain.
I personally love the first part of the trail for they made it technical enough to be fun and challenging. You can go fast and furious on the berms and rolls of the track. You shoot up and go down fast enough for you to become scared. If you really give it all, you might actually tumble and fall on those sharp descents and uneven camber.
A few of my adventurous friends even tried night riding at Heroes, despite the fact that we might be attacked by unworldly beings. They packed their LED lights and asked permission from the OIC who surprisingly said yes. It was FUN, but I personally did not try it. I was just there for the fun of it, but I did not risk it.
The Heroes Trail is open only until 5pm, so it was a special treat to go there night riding. It was quite an experience. Just remember to bring super strong LED lamps and it is better to night ride when the moon is full.
